So… I know when I concieved… my due date makes my conception date a week later…?

I told the doctor’s office in the beginning the first day of my last period, like everyone does, and they gave me a Jan. 8th or 08′ due date. Well, they never asked if I knew my conception date and I never thought of it until the other day when I entered my estimated due date on an online calculator and it said my date of conception was April 17th. I know for a fact it was between the 10th and the 13th of April. SO it’s anywhere from five days to a week off.
Does this mean I will have my baby earlier or after 37 weeks is it just a guessing game no matter what?

well, it’s because they think they know your ovulation date, and they take into consideration that it takes up to 3 days after you have sex to acutally conceive. when you have your first sonagram, they will have a more accurate idea of when your due date is, because they take measurements of the baby’s growth. they changed my due date a few times throughout my first pregnancy, and where still not really accurate. lol, and your due date means absolutely nothing….jada came 3 weeks early…and my water broke with her. she came out exactly when she wanted! …some people go over the 40 weeks….your due date basically gives you a “general” time to expect, but they come when THEY want. Ps: and contrary to the person before me, the doctors didnt know jack crap about when i concieved, because my baby was smaller than average, so you can trust yourself. The doctors can only predict with limited knowledge to the best of their ability. And obiviously, the person above me is having a crappy day and needs to make themselves feel better….dont let that bother you. she’s right…some people do think they know everything…but she needs to be saying that to herself. There are other aspects that contribute besides measurements. Hope this helps hun!
